Digital participatory projects are bringing bodies into buildings, and deepening the connections museums have with audiences. Some of the most successful projects are mission driven, and turn online visitors into creators inspired by some of the best examples of creativity in the world. The rise of InstaMeets, mobile photography, and the mash-up culture provide opportunities for museums to highlight their collections, break down cultural barriers, appeal to new audiences, and build creative communities both virtually and in real life.
