To promote our new major family-friendly exhibition, Extremes, we devised a campaign which sent our Extreme Curator, Paolo Viscardi, to replicate the environmental conditions featured in the exhibition.
Paolo ventured into cold, hot, dark, dry and oxygen deprived environments. We filmed each challenge and tweeted and updated other social media channels during the challenges.
The campaign was very well-received, with many retweets and interactions.
It was particularly popular with museum professionals, who seemed to enjoy seeing a curator going above and beyond their usual duties.
Paolo’s adventures even inspired their own Lego tribute, with blogger Tincture of Museum creating a video of a Lego version of Paolo’s extreme challenges!
